AI Hallucinations

A species so uncomfortable with uncertainty;

We built machines that now run code so complex we literally can’t explain it;

Fed all the words, pages, pieces of writing available into these black boxes;

Then ask them questions about that information, about our world, about ourselves…

“Trained” on the unfiltered Internet, a place we teach children to treat cautiously;

And we are surprised that what was “learned” is that a confident lie is too often preferable to uncertainty;

Yet we say it is the AI engine’s that are hallucinating…
